To create an affordable website design you would want to you the best software possible. However, that is not enough, you should also you when to use which software, to optimize its use. Most commonly known software to make effective web sites are Flash, Dreamweaver and FrontPage. With Macromedia Deamweaver you can create flash animation buttons by simply entering the parameters. You can make a quick and easy mouse-over button right from within FrontPage. Suppose you need to optimize a 100 hundred pictures and quickly, there’s no cause for worry, as Image ready will help you out with a little droplet. There are many more software programs that make being a web designer a little easier.

1. DHTML

This program has some clever features that make your affordable website design India look better. DHTML offers easy little tricks that can help you to add some ‘spice’ after you have built your Web page. All you need to do is follow a simple course of action. From the format menu on the menu bar, select the DHTML effect option. A tool bar will pop up within the work area. Choose an option from the first drop down list. There are four possible choices, on ‘click’ double-click’ Mouse over or page load. Depending on the option you select, a second drop down list will appear, listing the possible effects that can be done. If it is text then you can change the color, size or font. A border can be added around content and if it is an image then it can be exchanged with another one. The font can be changed with toggle. That means, if there was a font change on click, another click will change it back to the previous font.

There are some one-time effects, which happen, like the disappearance of an image or a button. This occurs if you select the fly-out option from the effects list. On ‘page load’ you can have the selected text appear in many different ways like swirling in, hopping in, zooming in and out etc. these kinds of effects are mostly used in advertisements. If you want to draw the user’s attention towards something, then using DHTML tricks will do the job.

2. Easy Mouse-Over Buttons.

This program has some fantastic features, which will make your affordable website design work simple. An example is the ‘Hover Buttons’. They don’t look as great as graphic buttons, but like normal block buttons. However, they do react to mouse-over, which is easy to do. You have to go to the Insert menu and select ‘Web Component’. Another selection window will open and in that choose the option Dynamic Effect. Now select the Hover Button effect and type in the text that should appear on the button. Then choose a font for the text and the size and color for the button. Enter the URL to link to on clicking. In the drop down list there should be a ‘Glow’ option. You can even choose the color of the glow. Check the button in preview mode, and you can see it light up when you move the mouse over it.

These simple effects can make your affordable website design look fantastic, without having to design any of those arty graphics, which take a lot of time to design and a lot of space.

3. Macromedia Dreamweaver and Animated Flash Buttons.

Dreamweaver allows you to create custom vector graphics from within the software. You can make flash effects to add them to your affordable website design. Making smart and interactive buttons is quite simple in Dreamweaver. There are several already created styles you can choose from, or you can make your own new button.

After choosing ‘Interactive Image’ from the Insert Menu, choose the ‘Flash’ option. A window will open, in which, when you click on the different choices of button styles, you can see the preview and then make your decision on which one you want. You can customize the button by adding the name of the button, adjusting the Font color and font size and specifying the URL that the button must link to. The button is saved with SWF extension. You can always preview the button in your browser to see if the end design is to your liking or no.

4. Optimizing Web Graphics.

High speed Modems and cable connections have made the Internet very quick. However graphics can still take a long time to download. To avoid this, you need to optimize you graphics. GIF images are generally good for line drawings and illustrations while JPG ones are best suited for photographs. Besides changing the file format, there are several other options available, which allow you to optimize your graphics. You should be careful about the amount of data that goes into an image. You should be willing to forfeit for a smaller size if it goes over 50k. The number of colors in an image should be as less as possible.

Photoshop is a helpful tool for optimizing web graphics. If you click on the ‘Save for Web’ option, a window will appear showing you various options and menus, which you can try out, to see which suits you best. You will be able to see two tabs. The 2-up tab allows you to see the original and the optimized one together, so that you can compare the two and choose. It also shows you the amount of time it will take to load according the different modem speeds. The 4-up however shows you up to 3 versions with the original. These previews are valuable and handy, because they save time, as you don’t have to repeatedly save the image with different designs and view them later. You can just compare them immediately side by side and choose.

5. Banner Ads

Frequent Internet users will be familiar with banner ads, as they are abundant on the web. They can be seen in the shape of a strip, with an image or text that changes continuously with various fonts and effects passing on some information. Such ads usually have links, so if you click on it, it will take you to the advertiser’s website. Banner ads are not the result of complex programming. In fact you don’t even have to use GIF builder or any other graphics software to animate such an ad. You can crate it using the front page. The procedure is quite simple. Let us see how it is done.

From Insert Manu, select Web component and then banner ad manger. In the window that opens, give the size of the ad, the transition effect, the number of seconds to display each image, and the URL to link the ad. Finally, add the images you have prepared for this ad and your banner ad is complete.

This software can also be used to share photographs with the user and also when you want to share the photographs but don’t want them to be save-able on the viewer’s side. To do that, all you have to do is disable the right click on the affordable web site design India and no one will be able to copy your images.

6. Droplet

if you want to optimize several images with the same settings in quick time then create a droplet and save time.

Open your image and activate the image optimization pallet. Set the optimization to your choice. You can choose the file type (JPG, GIF or PNG), quality (low, high or medium), dither and other options while seeing the preview in the ‘optimized’ tab of the main in the optimize palette. This creates a droplet that contains your optimization settings. Save it on your computer. After that, just drag the folder containing the images to be optimized onto the droplet. Every image will get optimized as per your settings. However, this may take a while depending on the number of images and their sizes. You can also send the images into the droplet one at a time.

7. Hot Spots in an Image.
If you decide to link various parts of the images to different URLS, slicing the image and assigning the links to the relevant slices will do the job. However, it is not as simple as it seems. Here you have to compromise on the precision of the links as the slices have to be necessarily rectangular besides being pieces of the image.

Suppose your affordable website design features a particular product where you want the different parts to lead to details about that part. You would like the parts like different ports; peripherals and other components to have precise rollovers and links so that the information can be conveyed correctly. Rather than slicing such images and assigning links you can use image maps.

For this you need to select the Polygon Image Map tool and outline the part of the image you want to give a separate link, precisely. Circular image maps can work better in some areas. You can change points on the map edge after finishing the shape. Specify the URL to link to along with ALT text in the image map palette. If you would like to preview the optimized file, then you can save it as HTML and check it in a browser.

8. Animation in Reverse

If you have an Animation prepared in Image ready and would like to play it in reverse, there is a simple way to do it. This kind of animation may have opacity or other effects. There is no need to manually place the frames backward. All you have to do is click on the little arrow in the animated palette and choose reverse frames. You can also create a rubber band effect by copying the forward sequence (copy Frames), pasting it at the end of sequence (Paste Frames- ‘Paste after selection ‘) and then, by selecting the newly pasted sequence and applying Reverse Frames on this.

Try these options to spice up your affordable website design. It is very convenient, as they are simple to carry out and you do not have to put n a lot of effort.
