There are two basic technologies used in
making
affordable web site design. Server side and
Client side. Client side means that the processing of the
technology is done in your web browser. Server side means that
the computer that sends the page to your browser i.e. the web
browser does the processing.
HTML
HTML means Hyper Text Markup Language. This technology provides
a simple and well-organized way of presenting text in such a way
that the computer will understand what it means and what kind of
processing you want to do with it. The creator of HTML was Tim
Berners-Lee (1990), but now the World Wide Web Consortium (W3C)
looks after it. It contains a wide range of ‘tags’ to label
text. These tags are helpful when it comes to instructions given
by the computer to your browser regarding identification and
processing of text. In many visual browsers, you will see the
text ‘HTML’ above in bold formatted text. By using HTML "tags"
to "mark-up" an entire document a HTML page is created, such as
this one.
XHTML
XHTML stands for Xtended Hyper Text Markup Language. It was
developed in a W3C project called “The Semantic Web”. The
purpose of the project was to create a range of affordable web
site design technologies that allows designed web pages to
be understood both by computers and humans. This makes the use
of the Internet more efficient. XHTML has a long and bright
future in the World Wide Web.
DHTML
This abbreviation stands for Dynamic Hyper Text Markup Language.
This technology allows programs to be written which are executed
inside the web browser. This form of technology however, is not
a standard defined by the W3C, but is in fact, a marketing term
used to describe the new technologies the 4.x generation browser
could support, coined by Netscape and Microsoft.
Generally Dynamic HTML means a combination of HTML 4.0, Style
Sheets and JavaScript. It is a mixture of technologies to make
web pages more dynamic.
CSS
HTML and XHTML are mainly used to instruct visual browsers about
the display of
affordable web site design page. They are best
used to show what the text is and it’s formatting. The browsers
are instructed how to display the page through Cascading Style
Sheets (CSS). It provides the ability to design the visual
presentation of a web page. CSS can be used to decide how the
documents are going to be visually presented – a computer, a
television screen, a printer or any other visual medium. The
most prominent fact about using CSS is that it allows a style
sheet to be used for an entire site. The chosen style sheet can
be stored as a file and has to be downloaded only once. This
saves time when it comes to downloading. Less downloading time
is a key factor that retains a visitor’s interest in your
affordable web site design India page. Surfers
like the time taken to download by your page as less as
possible.
